Probably the most profound thing the Overlord has ever said to me. And it means more to me than I can explain. I’m still thinking about it.

It might’ve been both. I haven’t had many chances to use my full power yet. Even I don’t know what I’m capable of.

I wasn’t worried about him. It was myself. Distractions, are how I ended up getting run through to begin with. Which is why it was my second condition for a brawl. No piercing.

I only agreed to fight him under the condition no one else was nearby, in order to avoid anyone getting in the crossfire. So I wouldn’t know. But she congratulated me when we came inside. They all watched from one of the balconies.

If I’m being honest, I’m surprised they aren’t afraid of me. After what I did, you wouldn’t think anyone would want me to get more powerful.

When we mentioned it in the Castle, one of the resident mages overheard. Like everyone else, they always used to avoid me. But numerous demons were watching our battle. It must’ve impressed the mage enough, that they approached and offered to teach me ways to overcome it.

Even though he believed me when I said I didn’t, he still wanted to fight. When we were finished, he offered to spar with him again whenever I wanted to. If he wants to use me to test himself, it speaks volumes.

If I hadn’t have run out of stamina, I would’ve won. He knew it, too.

I don’t think I can deny it any longer. When I first arrived, he stopped me at the bridge. My power signature was so strong, it drew him out. When he saw it was me, he couldn’t believe it. Apparently I’ve gotten so much stronger, he thought I might’ve somehow picked up the Artifact again.
