I'm gonna try and record something fun and meaningful to edit together of my trip. I feel like it'd be a good last hurrah to my leaving of this place that, while not the best, was still formative to my blossoming as a more confident and -me- version of myself.

I can't thank the folks here enough.

I really want to be a light in people's lives, but I'm moving all the time. It hurts to do that, and the only thing I can do to make it hurt less is to leave a piece of me in every place I can.

I can only hope with time that I'll see them again. With time, maybe it'll all hurt a little less.

I once worked an e-recycling job, and when I left, I drew a little drawing of Dan on my hours sheet and said "I loved working with you guys, and I hope that next year, I might be able to come back and see you guys again, you made my days bright!"

In a way, it feels like I'm dying. Like there's so much I wish I could've done before I'm gone. All the parties I could've thrown, all the memories I could've made, all of the time I could've spent with them that I spent alone in my room because I was afraid to go to a bar alone to meet people.

Having to leave the first pet I ever took in on my own accord there sucks too. Donnie... You're a cat that I wish I could take everywhere with me. You're cute, confident, and adorable, if a lil' chunky.

I'll need to visit someday, I would hate for this to be the last time he ever sees me again.

The only reason this move is even remotely hard on me is because of the idea that I only got a relatively cool group of friends out here in Montana in the last... year and a half of being here.

Putting so much of myself in them in that time, it's heartbreaking having to leave them so soon after.

My good friend @chibsarts.bsky.social told me that this kind of additional elbow grease for no reason other than "it'll look cool and be technically impressive" is called "bumping the lamp" based on an old situation done from the acting in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and I think that's AWESOME.

I was animating a pose and thought to myself "if I animate the dick in full on a layer below this, I can overlay internals and fade out a portion of the tummy layer to make a cool internal." Which was not at all tasked of me, but I know that shit will BANG later.

There are some folks that'll just do exactly what they're asked and nothing more, but I take an almost indulgent pleasure in some of the work I'm tasked to do. This comes with the idea of "aren't you putting more work on yourself than what you're paid for?" and that's kinda true... buuuuuuut...

In general, with the change in culture rolling from rural shitholes to Seattle, I'm excited cause I feel like I'll finally be able to spread my wings in a way that I haven't been able to for the past... literal decade of my life.

I hope to be good to the new folks that I meet, and to live well!

I've been told a few bars do vinyl nights too, the life out there seems really fun!! I'm so excited!!

I'm excited for a couple things, namely being able to live with my close friend and soon-to-be-roommate...

But I'm also excited for smaller things, like being able to be in a city where I can find pretty easily accessible indoor pools for swimming fitness! How cool!
