Assistants without hands When everyone talks about agentic AI, it's all too easy to forget how AI assistants like Copilot today can't be trusted to do things for us - if it involves anything more than talk.

Metaverse gave us avatars with no legs. GenAI gave us AI assistants with no hands.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is sold as your personal AI assistant. Yet it can't handle 1) creating Outlook appointments, 2) comparing Excel lists, 3) talking to it about your agenda.

Prompt injection means email viruses are back. A researcher found a security vulnerability where you send an email with hidden instructions which when CoPilot scans the email, executes and then hides the source of the instructions.

It took Microsoft 5 months to fix the issue.

I had a new experience this afternoon. A free fall for a few meters from a 20m high platform in a forest. The second time was fun 😁 Power Platform has a new meaning for me.

Quality over Quantity. The release is a bit delayed due to primarily documentation and a restructure of my website containing the documentation.

An automation instance can be clicked on to show a modal windows containing information logged during its execution.

The included screenshot is of the console app during testing. It show the runs on the left including an indication of existing results (Ok, Warning, Error, Flow error, Unknown).

The main body contains the automation instances included in the run shown as well as a filter and action section.

I am almost done finishing version 1.0.0 of Kookaburra, the open-source extensible automation platform for business solutions to support functional and technical application managers in their day-to-day work 🥳 built with the #Microsoft #PowerPlatform.

📯 v1.0.0 will be released Tuesday next week.

You can expect some good news about the open-source project "Kookaburra" later next week 🙂

Somehow, I have the feeling that this will be a good year for me 🤩 Part of this is the growth of my 5 open-source projects related to the #Microsoft #PowerPlatform. Providing good information about the projects is, and will be, key and you can expect some improvements there.

Because I expected the issue to come from a data retrieval/-transformation logic, I deleted all Dataverse tables from the canvas app (not the solution! 😉). This resulted in errors in the logic resulting in not executing it. And voila, I could go to the screen without it freezing the webbrowser tab.

So I was faced with the situation that I had to fix something but could not reach the screen containing the faulty logic. Deleting the screen was no option too because I could not reach the screen. Hmmm 🤔

ℹ️Errors can be useful.

I recently added a screen in a #PowerApps Canvas App with logic in its OnVisible property. Because of an error in the logic, the webbrowser tab frooze when navigating to that screen.

There. It happened. The blue bird flew away for me.
