7/7 ...later he would have had a much better comeback. familiar to everyone caught off guard by outrageous and aggressive statements. But that is what we need to be with the US government now, guarded. Don’t allow their soup of misinformation to stew you into a state of confusion and complacency.

6/7 They are only interested in taking away freedom and democracy everywhere they go, in order to usurp more power. They only snippet of Scholz’ response that made it into the TV news where I live was ‘this is absurd’. He may have said more, I don’t know. If he didn’t, I imagine that 30 minutes..

5/7 ... checks and balances and annihilating all factually-based governmental bodies (NIH, CDC, NOAA… the list goes on), is extra outrageous, and of course was so by design. Smokes and mirrors, that’s what Trump, Vance, and their fascist cronies are wielding.

3/7 First and foremost, it’s blatantly untrue. There is no lack of freedom of speech, and the political firewall that may have excluded fascist political parties from joining governmental coalitions in the past, that time has long gone.

2/7 and with that he meant the political firewall against the fascist right. While it may be obvious to many why this is a preposterous, absurd and dangerous thing to say, I feel the need to explain the obvious, so that it may be very, very clear why.

1/7 Yesterday Vance made several preposterous, and dangerous statements. Or absurd, as in Chancellor Scholz’ words. Among other things, he berated the EU for not doing enough to protect the freedom in Europe, that they should combat the enemy from within...
