Hello 100 followers on platform I don’t use, buy my new vinyl on Bandcamp
Hate to admit it but I bought new gear and now my mixes ARE better 🤷♂️
If your parents taught you “if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all” it turns out that 30 years later they will still get mad when they try to trap you into JuSt HaViNg A cOnVeRsAtIoN and you refuse to take the bait.
Considering dropping off the face of the planet for a week to play Zelda. Either that or locking in and getting a week of recording work done…
Important to remember: we love you bisexuals ♾️
I spend all my money on gear instead of food so I split my Sweetwater purchases into multiple separate orders so I get more candy
2 year anniversary of my “Book of Spells” album ima start booking shows again
Hi just popping in to say I’m working on music every single freaking day and I’m losing my mind but I promise there will be new new soon
It’s not *perfect* but I still believe Bandcamp is the best 3rd party platform to buy music if supporting an artist means anything to you. It’s a major bummer finding out people are are paying money for records on friggin EBAY of all
places 😬
Chappell Roan took her guitar tabs off the internet 😤 this is equivalent to Metallica vs. Napster IMO. Booooooooooo.
I have a Patreon there is new music on it
If your gear rental didn’t include a day-after-festival-crust-cleaning fee damn you got the deal of a lifetime 😬
My 75 year old dad doomscrolls through AI slop with his iPhone volume on max. He votes. Human race is cooked. ☠️
And the maddening thing about this industry is that I actually have to do these things occasionally while awake.
I used to have nightmares about being onstage performing songs I had never heard before. I still do, but now I also have nightmares about running FOH on consoles I’ve never used before with no soundcheck.
If you don’t understand why Trump is deploying the military to LA you can right now watch a Walt Disney TV show depicting the exact same thing happening in space.
My first idea is to buy a new guitar…
Think I might finally try and get good at guitar. Anyone got some fun practice tips?
New song up on my Patreon!
I don’t have much experience with “strats” but I think this is the new main axe for wedding band gigs
I just love it when I set up a guitar right before the gig and I don’t fuck up everything irreparably!
New finance hack! I thought I was gonna owe money on my taxes but I just filed them while stoned and it looks like I’m actually getting a refund! Let me know if it works for you too!
I heard someone say it’s less road rage-y and actually way funnier to give a big thumbs down 👎 instead of flipping people off. And it’s true. Every Cybertruck I see now gets sent to the lions.
Without considering the consequences, I saved my Musician’s Friend sales rep in my phone with a “MF” in front of his name, so when he calls to check in it’s always motherfucking Braden AGAIN?
srsly how is this economy even real can we switch to an Unsold Vinyl Record Standard maybe I will finally be able to afford housing
Just rewatched Don’t Look Up. Thought it was a great little farce during the Biden years, but during this current Trump/Musk era it is a much more stressful watch 😬
I got a new bike!
And yeah I know there are other tools to determine these stats but if your catalog has hundreds of songs Spotify’s own Artist app used to be a manageable way to actually get good data. Now it’s not.
So let’s say you find out a deep cut has like 997 plays and you want to just post it on socials real quick to bump it over the threshold and get that 3 bucks. Not a lot by itself but they just prevented hundreds of thousands of indie artists from doing that in one fell swoop.
The most insidious thing about Spotify not paying artists for songs with <1000 streams in a year was that this change coincided with them limiting how far back you can check a song’s analytics. Used to be easy to see a song’s streams for the last 12 months. Now you only get the last 28 days 🤔
