Her son, Bobby, asks if she thinks a diagnosis would be illuminating. Hank shakes her head and tells Bobby he ain’t right. Peggy struggles with the feminine ideal, despite her confident facade. She’s 6 feet tall with size 16 feet(2), she can’t cook or clean, and she even works for a living! But Hank will kick the ass of anyone who calls Peggy masc. And they don’t call her “Peggin’ Peggy” for nothin’! Page 3, MINH AND ANH A Dee/Tom couple*. Minh’s father was a military Laotian general. He expected Anh to grow up and marry a man of status. But Minh fell in love with Anh, daughter of a fish-monger, at the disco. And they married and and moved to the United States. Anh gleefully antagonizes Hank, with verbal taunts and topless flashes from the shower window(3). But she secretly considers Hank her best friend. In the end, Anh and Hank are united by both their love for their wives, and how their careers consume their lives. Hank breaks her back with propane tanks. Anh commutes for 3 hours to work, each ways! As Peggy says, even their names are spelled with the same letters! *Thai terms, similar to femme/butch

I think "this came out of nowhere" is a bad take. Future historians of American decline will be tracing this back to talk radio in the eighties, Ronald Reagan, American interventionism in Latin America, the 94 crime bill, white flight, 9/11, and creationism. It's stupid but complicated.

I just like to remind folks every so often I've got a blog where I post pictures of paperbacks that I find (and even scans from my collection!). It's my side hobby to also find the names of artists for uncredited covers and share more neat art with others :)

Very productive evening, finishing the last (kinda) buildings for my Montcornet table ahead of HoL this sat. The townhall is a placeholder as the real town hall scratch build is delayed (I made it too large..). All are 3d prints that are reentered etc. Plus painted 30ft of latex road!

A clip studio pressure curve graph

This is very specific but it might help other cartoonists. I came up with a pressure curve for Clip Studio on the iPad which makes it easier to go backwards and forwards (especially inking) from your desktop Cintiq setup. No blowouts on iPad strokes at what would be normal pressure on the Cintiq.

after talking with a buddy, we decided to start turning this comic i wrote into a stage play.

it’s a drama that takes place in one room, so transitioning from the page to the stage is an easy one.

i just have to get the hang of the script format.
