Jason Isbell last night at Radio City was a God tier concert. Up there with Elvis Costello small club sets at Lupe’s in Providence, Tom Waits at Boston Orpheum, Wilco three nights in Reykjavik, Welch/Rawlings at the Beacon, Pogues at the Carriage House.
Really don’t understand PBS and NPR kowtowing to conservatives. Almost none of their funding is dependent on these assholes. Why not go hard?

Great program tonight at @nyphilharmonic.bsky.social led by Gianandrea Noseda and featuring Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto #1 with Behzod Abduraimov and Shostakovich’s Symphony #4. Both played magnificently but it was Abduraimov’s encore of Liszt’s “La Campanella” that made my socks roll up and down.
