Louisiana Surgeon General Ralph Abraham has just been named as the principal deputy director at the CDC.

Abraham’s accomplishments include banning the health department from promoting vaccines and overseeing the concomitant explosion of whooping cough in the state, which has killed two babies.

I have to wonder how much local LE/politicians/news orgs are kind of counting on the coming weather + holiday drowning this story out. Sharing this video at your Thanksgiving table might be an important thing you can do in the next couple of days.

If you can't pay for a book, there is already a solution for you: use a library.

Whatever you think authors, illustrators, and other book career people make, it's less than that. By a lot. Stealing from us isn't heroic, it's crushing.

I saw screenshots this morning of Trump threatening members of Congress with death for this video but I hadn't seen the video. So if, like me, you've been inadequately online this week, this is what Trump thinks is worthy of EXECUTION.

Really thoughtful and important thread.

I feel profound grief at the knowledge that so many people would prefer to take the chance that their child might die of a preventable disease, rather than taking the chance that their child might be autistic like me. This grief deepens as ableism is codified into policy.
