Didn't he have chagas disease or however it's spelled? And for decades I thought. Anyone with a condition that has 'dying sensations' listed as a symptom gets my pity.

Irreverent, curious, bit of a weeb. (prone to massive understatements)

13.02.2026 11:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The point is that teenagers are attention-seekers, of course they'd inflate the 'abuse' they suffered to scientists asking them about it. Since when are we calling self-reporting a 'study'? It's not a proper metric you can get numbers from, you either ask the subject or someone that knows them.
10.02.2026 17:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Is it not obvious? Teenagers brains are re-forming during puberty, I think this is widely-known enough. I vividly remember being a teenager, worrying about what I'm wearing or getting cold feet if a girl talked to me.
No longer, I'm old now, and I feel embarrassed for ever having cared back then.
That is actually interesting, and given the question 'does social media have negative effects on teenagers' self-esteem', I'd probably agree with you.
I'm not sure we're on the same track here, though. Teenagers are famously hyper-critical of themselves. But the damage isn't permanent, they grow up
The kids themselves would disagree, I certainly remember when I deactivated my Facebook account because my mom and grandma joined.
You can't be yourself with your parents leering over you, and teens are uniquely private and rebellious about this sort of thing.
My argument is that kids don't need to be filtered. We never were, we sussed out the rules of the internet in a hurry because our parents didn't know what was going on for another decade.
Exposure isn't a preference-maker, teens know how to just browse somewhere else; apparently more than we do.
Is that really an argument? 'I, as your teacher, am claiming no responsibility to teach you'?
I'm fully in-favor of hands-off parenting around tech, but they also sign-off on the ability to bitch about what their kids get up to. I didn't have a net-nanny, but they did at least stranger-danger me.
Does it?
I have yet to see one.
And who's to say Discord didn't just create a few as an excuse for Mr. Activision-Blizzard to put his agenda to work? It wouldn't be the first time I've heard similar claims.
Proper parenting.
It's their job, not the company's.
The parents allow their kids to access a computer or buy them a smartphone.
Companies can't possibly filter stuff like that at the scale they come in, there's too many people, and it encourages bad parenting all the more.
The kids will adjust.
For anyone giving up Nitro, the first time you look at emotes and they are all crossed-out, you may feel your will-power weaken.
What you can do is install BetterDiscord and the YABDP4Nitro plugin by Riolubruh to keep them (or a similar plugin of your choice). This may just be enough to stay dry.
Nah, she doesn't main Aris

I think the curvier students would have flipped him, tbh.
Who's gonna tell him?

20.12.2025 07:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0As always, normal people wouldn't even make these leaps. Maybe check their hard drive, they are virtue signalling TOO hard.
20.12.2025 07:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Politics is absolutely legitimate content for the site, but it would be nice for those of us who rely on escapism to not have to eschew this site altogether because it's even worse than bird site in this respect.
Cesspit though it is, at least you can find some non-politics on it still.
So is BlueSky essentially a politics site now?
I was hoping for early Twitter, before Elmo, before the doom scrolling, before the white knights and virtue signalers.
But I'm seeing cultured artists shut-down and the culture war echo chamber established anew.
Not liking our chances anymore.
So is negative plus big number 'worse' than negative number small number, like makes sense? Or did they do some weird politics thing where -9 is 'worse' than -25?
04.12.2025 14:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I dunno, pretty tame tbh.
Horse doesn't look depressed to me, and it's both blurred and cut-short.
Just a classic 'hey look at this, now ads' strategy. It's your own fault for watching Tiktok, did you expect quality content moderation?
I think I just saw a clip of the same thing.
Doesn't narrow it down though, Kisaki is sex.
Better results than me, for sure.
10.10.2025 08:17 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In all seriousness, depends on the level, armor type, whether you need crowd control, etc.
It's very much a game where you adapt to the fight.
But just look at them, you can slot them in more often if you like them.
I'm not sure the part of the article praising Trump for being an intuitive political operator is necessarily warranted.
My theory is that his buddy Putin gave him a walk-through on how to dismantle government checks-and-balances, much as he seems to have done.
Oh yeah, he did, didn't he?
Well, morons will be morons.
Really BlueSky? Censorship now?
There was so much potential, I wondered why I couldn't find a single artist with a skill level above crayon drawings, but I think I've found it.
I dunno, when I made an account I wanted the same thing, just not owned by a toddler; guess Twitter wins this one.
You know, now you said it like that, this is exactly what it is. He's so scared of the Epstein thing he's flailing around and desensitizing everyone to his BS. Hopefully Congress wises up and puts him back in his high-chair.
11.08.2025 19:25 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Am I the only one not happy with the word 'edge'?
We know how polls have been lately, I want a 20% stomping.
Dems, get in that. Find a likeable candidate that can promise to nullify the toddler's every 'achievement' and do it elegantly in a way the cheetoh can't.
GOOD
Glad to see them struggle. Been hearing word of them hitting my state next (Virginia). Red governor, but it'll be interesting to see what my red parents response will be if it affects their beloved Mexican restaurant they spent years narrowing-down. First-name basis with owner by now.
