This evening we finally finished recording the #MastersOfTheUniverse score. Possibly my most maximalist work ever - 5644 takes across the entire soundtrack!
It’s been a huge amount of fun, excited for it to enter the world later this year.. thanks to our amazing music crew below who got us there!
So every film session there is a sweepstake amongst the music crew about how many different takes I will get through across the entire score..

Over 20+ years ago I did music for a documentary THE BOY CAN’T HELP IT about John Davidson and his lifelong struggle with Tourette’s syndrome, which we can see still continues today.
Still an important watch to understand the condition and its effects..

So there was the first ever rave at Abbey Road Studio One with the amazing Soulwax on the decks this evening.. and it got shut down by the police which feels like the lost poetic ending we could have had!
Gonna take the amazing energy from the room for recording there next week..
So excited that the guy who built this crazy museum LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is gonna rep the UK at Eurovision this year. Bonkers. I love it.

Saw SIRAT tonight at the BFI IMAX.
Spectacular piece of film making that will stay with you for a very long time.
The music too is fantastically filthy (what distortion!)..
Warning though - the whole experience is ridiculously intense.. still trying to calm down hours later…

Ended 2025 randomly discovering actual original manuscripts by Beethoven (insanely chaotic pen work beat by beat!), Mozart and Messiaen (very tidy which is insane as written in a POW camp) in Paris.. absolutely breathtaking and made me a little bit emotional.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
