The colors were vibrant, the music was great, and it even had exclusive content after the ending of the NES version. The more chibi style art in the Famicom version was really nice, particularly in the bosses. If you enjoyed this version, you should give the Genesis/Mega Drive version a try too. I'm not usually into SHMUPs, but these ones were pretty neat.

Tonight I started #speedrunning a PC #IndieGame called #SuperCakeboy. It's a cute #platformer with bright colors and fun music. I recently played a game called Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon for #GameGear. It was a short #platformer that was super cute. You can play as #SailorMoon, or #Chibiusa, so I played it twice! I recently played through a really neat #indiegame by @lucaspucas.bsky.social called #ShyGuySurfing. I found this game on @itchio.bsky.social and loved it. Aw, that's a shame. I really enjoyed that game, and the voices were great. Such a funny, unique game. I'm looking forward to trying the Gobliiins games from the same dev one of these days too!

Last night I played #DuckTales Remastered for #PC. The updated animation style, remixed music, and voice acting added something special to this version. I spent too long looking for the notebook, painting, and real necklace and went down with the ship the first time. Then I reloaded and just immediately left with the creepy couple who kept popping up in my face out of nowhere. They were terrifying, but better than a cold watery grave, I suppose. 😂

I haven't played that one yet, but just took a quick peek and it looks pretty neat. I'll have to check it out sometime.

Absolutely! There are some really great romhacks out there, and this one really shines. You can even play as April, Splinter, and Casey, so I'll probably play through it again in the future.
