I really like this phrase "as spell slots allow". I will remember it.

Have started yet another little reaper cutting clone. The best clone seems healthy but its growth looks disorganized. Jalapeรฑos are plentiful. The old reaper is quite leafy now, a few flowers, but no peppers yet. ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ

Even the background was "faked". They painted lines on a cube and filmed that. :)

I've had this raincoat about 10 years, and I still like it, but I've noticed it just wasn't keeping me dry anymore. I found out that re-waterproofing can be done at home pretty cheap and easy. So far it seems to have been a success!

The frustration of inhabiting a closed space with a buzzing fly is a pretty good analogue for entropy tho. ๐Ÿชฐ๐Ÿ˜ซ

Maxwell's demon - Wikipedia

Opening and closing my garage door, trying to get rid of the summer flies, it makes me feel like Maxwell's Demon. ๐Ÿชฐ๐Ÿšช๐Ÿชฐ

I fussed around with the finish for a long time. There were a lot of mistakes and indecision and learning... but eventually it ended up just kinda black and glossy. I wish the wood grains were visible but I'm happy enough with this. Grandpa's guitar is whole again. ๐ŸŽธ

I wanted to carve grandpa's name into it, but this part held me up for a while. I needed practice, but until now I'd been working at a desk or kitchen table. I built a workbench so I could have somewhere to try banging on chisels. A few months later I finally felt ready...

Finally, it was missing a pickguard, so I decided to make a replacement. This is what recently got me thinking a lot about wood. I cut it from a piece of oak I had lying around and thinned it down into the shape I wanted...

It was in pretty good shape, if a bit dusty inside. The end of the fretboard had lifted a little, and it does not have an adjustable truss so I filed down the frets a bit. The plastic end post snapped when I tried to put a strap on it, so I ended up carving a new peg for it...

Back in March, I was given this guitar that had belonged to my grandpa, that I didn't even know existed. It's a Harmony Hollywood H39 archtop, made sometime between 1959 and 1967.

I was wrong about the trumpet vine! What I thought was fruit was actually the yet-unopened buds of flowers!

I misread this as Putt-Putt Saves the Zool, and I looked at the screenshots expecting to see that Chupa Chups ninja riding on Putt-Putt.

My neighbour grows this trumpet vine that bears long conical flowers. A tendril coming over the fence now has little orange fruits on it! They look like tiny oblong nectarines. Some ants are having a bonanza.

A satisfying tamal.

For my future reference: 19 small tamales from 4 cups maseca, 1 cup lard, 1.5 cups broth. ~3 cups filling. The husks of 4 ears of corn were a bit more than enough.

While I wait, since I had a small portion of leftover filling, I made a little bit of simple dough to cover it and fried it. Maybe it's an arepa.

Midnight tamales... My fridge ended up full of leftover chicken, so I made mole yesterday as an experiment, and it seemed like this would make a good filling for a tamal, so they're currently steaming!

The weird thing I discovered about the RNG was that I think it was seeded by seconds spent on the title screen, and quick-saving to go back to the title screen also reseeded it the same way. I think I discovered it while trying to get the pink tail and I could consistently get the flan in 1 battle.

I always found the battle timing was weird in the original, but at least it was mostly predictable in the long run. When I started playing the GBA one I saw the guages and I was like "oh nice, they made it better..." but I changed my opinion of that quickly.

The oldest reaper clone actually seems healthy and the leaves are growing, but I want to see new leaves and stem growth too. The new clones are probably toast. 2 jalapeรฑos now. The old reaper has recovered well from its heat shock, has a lot of leaves now, flowering soon I think.

Found some half-price cream because the carton was banged up, so I made swedish meatballs for the second time. As before I gotta say this is one of the most satisfying meals I've ever cooked. The combination of meat, allspice, nutmeg, cream and lingonberry, it's wonderful. ๐Ÿง†

Or maybe it's 2.5? With Bacon Numbers, you count the movies as links between actors, but here I'm going from person to game so there's like an extra half-link in there.
