Novel Approaches for Protecting the Inner Ear from Hearing Loss Andre Hoelz and Rick Friedman, the skull base surgeon who operated on Hoelz's auditory nerve, have received a Curebound grant to pioneer new ways of protecting the inner ear against hearing loss.
