In this 1974 comic by Jules Feiffer, we see a group of people who are living under a leader with no values, morals or ethics. As they continue to wait for someone else to take care of him — the right people, leadership, law — they gradually forget what was so bad about this leader. In the last panel, their children have become that person. In this case, it's Nixon. The cartoon has particular relevance because leadership did finally step up in 1974, but not so much in 2025.
