I find the coverage absurd, its pretty bad even (here) in Denmark.

Of course, and i have no statistics or analysis to back it up admittedly, but it just makes sense intuitively not to put all your eggs in one basket.
A mix of power sources would be best i figure. One type with redundancy as its strength and the other could be protected more actively.

Intuitively it makes more sense to have a lot of places that have to be taken out rather than a single point of failure when it comes to security/reliability. One coal power plant vs a hundred windmills.
