🇬🇧🇵🇸 UK-funded tents have now entered Gaza to provide urgent shelter for families affected by the conflict.

⛺️ As winter arrives and weather conditions worsen, shelter for 12,000 is a lifeline, but Israel must allow more aid in & open all the routes & crossings immediately so it can be distributed. 🚛

The HIV action plan, to be unveiled on World Aids Day on Monday, aims to re-engage the thousands of people who have left HIV care, bringing them back to lifesaving treatment. It was nice to get over to Dane Bank for the St George's Community Centre Christmas Fair.

It was really busy so hopefully they’ve raised a good amount for church and community centre funds.

Advent has officially begun. That’s not an excuse to gorge chocolate from Advent Calendars - yet - you’ll have to wait until 1st December.

To Christians across Gorton & Denton, I wish you hope, peace, joy and love in Advent as we prepare for Christmas 🙏🏻

Public transport generally is inadequate in south-east Manchester. To get to other parts of the conurbation you have to go into town and out. Oh for the 400 Airport-Bolton Trans Lancs Express to return, or orbital Metrolink… that would be transformative.

🎄 Well that’s the Christmas tree decorated - always my job, with the “help” of Lyle. Allison got a nice girthy tree from the farm.

🕯️ Tomorrow is the first Sunday of Advent - the period Christians wait in anticipation to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Anyway Chez Gwynne is feeling festive right now.
