NYC DOE high school teacher, correctional education at Rikers Island. Movie lover. Give me some lowbrow schlocky horror or give me some highbrow Ingmar Bergman, but keep your uninspired middlebrow crap. #horror #LGFM #FilmSky #Movies

An unnecessary and bland remake, a great doc, an unnecessary and bland franchise installment, a great Cronenberg

Two flawless masterpieces.
A very entertaining Scandinavian death metal comedy.
A forgettable adaptation.

One Found Footage horror classic.

Suspiria is one of my all time favorites. I donโ€™t really consider it disturbing, though.
I recommend watching it as loud as you can and in a dark room. Donโ€™t try following a plot, just enjoy it on a sensory level.

I appreciate Del Toro as a sort of ambassador for horror, but his movies just donโ€™t work for me. Heโ€™s more style than substance.

Nouvelle Vague was the most fun I had in the theater in a long while.

House of the Devil is a perennial watch and always a blast.

Frankenstein seems to be universally loved but I just couldnโ€™t get into it. At all.

The Reformatory. Itโ€™s about the horrific experiences of basically children in a Jim Crow Florida reformatory. Itโ€™s a horror novel as there are ghosts/haunts but itโ€™s really about the real life horrors of that time.
