CRUSHING UPDATE YESTERDAY : Journalist Mario Guevara deported. Mario will continue to pursue immigration appeals from El Salvador, hoping to return to the US and his family, both of which he dearly loves. Our hearts are w/ Mario, his family & the legal team that has worked around the clock.

Mario Guevara wrote about his experiences in @bittersouth.bsky.social a couple weeks back. The Justice Department argued that he "posed a danger to the community because of his reporting." Solidarity with all journos out there, doing the work.
