Also fair. My hangup is exactly that on side profile, I never know what to do with the mouth and tongue and making it feel '3D' but also look right. Meanwhile on front view I can kind of just get away with making up half the anatomy as long as it looks 'bird' enough.

Weirdly enough in my experience, the facing forward view is easier. What doesn't click with you on it?
