The ruling marks the latest blow in Trump's effort to bypass Senate confirmation to install loyalists in top U.S. attorney offices.
Interesting use of the past exonerative, which is typically deployed to hide the culpability of cops and Republicans in bad things. In this case however, it's better for the powers that be to pretend the US just misplaced some expensive drones rather than admit that Iran shot them out of the sky.
