clip studio is my favorite because more than once I was like "i wish it could do xyz" and guess what, it can do xyz

important detail: that sub view remembers what you put in between sessions! you add your references once and they stay until you remove them again.

i havent removed my comic refs in over a year 🫣

For more detailed ref sheets I can recommend pure ref though!

this is probably widely known but in case someone doesn't (because it is so helpful) - Clip Studio Paint has a Sub View window where you can load ref. I like using it because I can flip through it quickly and also eyedropper colors for characters
