The words are in white with black borders. Transcript: Azine's Story Azine travels the world to meet people dear to her. That is her reason for living, as she doesnt know how much time she has left. This goes for everyone, especially with how the world is today. Goes extra for her because of heart-lung disease from birth + a series of embolisms in 2016. Embolisms are kept at bay by medication, due to having had more than one. Dystonia and seizures, were made worse by Lyme disease (tick bite 2009). MCAS, probably from birth, is made a lot worse by environmental toxins. She takes 4 antihistamines including compounded ketotifen (expensive) in very high doses to keep her skin from peeling off & to keep limited food down. "I dont have access to health insurance, even though that is mandatory where I was born.Because people with Lyme and ME/CFS are routinely denied healthcare, persecuted, and jailed in psychiatric hospitals. That is why I became a traveler/refugee. That is why my mom, who still lives there, is deep in debt. Because there was never gov. support or funding for me, not even welfare." I've done all I can out of my own resources. We need your help. Please, boost & share her story, & if you can afford to, donate any amount* you can spare to her mom's PayPal: MadeleineWedemeijer@gmail.com *Literally $1 helps. Fundraisers with more activity, regardless of the size of the donations, are more successful overall as it motivates people to pitch in. And if you include an encouraging message in the memo line, you'll help to lift the severely flagging spirits of all those involved.
Azine's informal free housing arrangement is about to end abruptly. We don't know when; it could be at any time. We need to raise money to get her into an Airbnb as quickly as we can manage.
We don't have the resources for long-term solutions, so I'm just keeping her alive as long as I can.

And even that is probably not going to happen since this country has eroded any means of ensuring those can even happen.
One of the reasons I love retro-SF futures is because they speak to this increasing trend of turning shit off and disconnecting devices. When AWS goes down and bricks your bed, fridge, and thermostat, the appeal of analog is keenly felt.

A tweet from Alison Cook reads: “The kids are alright.” The attached photo shows a young woman sitting on public transit holding a protest sign. The sign reads: “WHEN CRUELTY BECOMES NORMAL, COMPASSION LOOKS RADICAL,” with the words “CRUELTY” and “COMPASSION” written in red and the rest in black. Sunlight streams through the train windows, showing a brick building and blue sky outside.
They are trying to normalize cruelty and violence. We cannot allow it.

They know it's the safe way to dogwhistle even though it's about as subtle as a brick to the face.
20.10.2025 17:55 — 👍 91 🔁 8 💬 0 📌 0Yeah, I used to code webpages. Still sometimes do. Anything Chromium has this as a feature but a lot of folks did what I called Priority Loading.
You'd have multiple say, buttons, for a feature. But it'd prioritize one, then the next one if that couldn't load, then a bare bones one, then base link.
GAds usually is a backup for pages displayed on Chrome, Android, or a lot of other browsers.
They're not usually the primary Ad Host, but if there is no Ad Data due to a malfunction of some sort rather than show empty placeholders, they use GAds to fill in and still get revenue.
Because rebounds are hasty. So, take your time. That's something I had to learn to do.
It's...a very hard thing to do when you feel deeply.
Open wounds emotionally suck, and are incredibly draining.
So closure is a start. How you move forward is the important thing also. You're going to be very raw coming off this so don't jump into "new people" right off. 'rebounding' lots of times just ends up hurting both of you long run (cont.)
This unfortunately also happens. Life sucks like that sometimes.
It may or may not be over but the important thing is that you talk at the very least to try and learn what happened.
Not necessarily so you can be perfect for the next person or whatever, but so that you have that closure.

Yes, believe it or not, that's hard.
We have broken up and gotten back together multiple times before I figured out how to actually talk about how I was feeling calmly and with love rather than snapping off. I'll be honest I still fuck up on that front, too.
Either way you slice it. (Cont)
Maybe you don't need to 'leave them' but moreso find a work around if it's possible.
In any relationship, obviously, feelings are going to get hurt and there will be growing pains on both sides.
That was the hardest part with my live in partner, is just adapting and growing with them. (Cont)
And was finally comfortable with myself and on my own.
Things didn't work until then.
But also, honestly, you're not obligated to be perfect. It's not always you that's the problem. There may not even be a problem person. It sometimes can be down to just, communication and issues with it (cont.)
Life is hard, and healing is very difficult.
I wouldn't say give up entirely, but maybe take a decent break and work on things first to the point you feel secure in yourself.
I honestly found my partners once I...essentially stopped looking (cont).
I cannot emphasize this enough:
The regime has overextended itself. It is vulnerable to protest and dissent.
They have not consolidated power and we are entirely capable of keeping them from doing so.
