I've been told that I go off on tangents, anyway. Will this help me get right to the point? LOL, clearly not. Full of questions. Full of verbiage, striving to untangle my own thoughts. Full of hope that others will think and write and untangle along with me.

Aha. I just clicked a "+" at the bottom and it appears to have added a new reply. Maybe I can learn to ride this bike. Also train myself not to hit the space bar twice after a period. & truncate everything. Truncate ruthlessly. Use acronyms. Is this how people felt when Twitter first started?

I'm not even sure if I'm doing this thread right, replying to a reply. Is that how it's supposed to work if you want to write more than 300 characters? Do I sound like a complete idiot who missed the bus for years and years? I just want to laugh at the clunkiness of it all. I got used to one site.

I'm not a celebrity. I'm not much of a re-poster, although I will do that occasionally. What does it mean, in this context, to be just my tiny self? What does my voice sound like here? Would it be heard? By whom? Is it valued? understood? misinterpreted? Is there a user manual for this format?

Still puzzling over how to use Bluesky in ways that suit me. I'm glad to read what's here, but not sure it makes sense for me to post in ways at all similar to how I've posted on Facebook. It's hard to get a feel for how people use this medium. I was never on X. Feels like shouting into a void?

So, I was never on Twitter/X, and this format is new to me. I guess I'm feeling confused about why people I don't know would follow me? Do I seem possibly interesting? Also confused about what is appropriate to post here and if there are cultural norms here I should be aware of.

Deeply appreciating all the quality cat posts on Bluesky. I don't want social media without cats.

Thinking a lot about various tools for unjangling the jangled nerves and how what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. What tools do you use when you notice you are anxious, stressed, and/or numb?
