Would you trust AI-generated code to go straight into production, or would you want a cleanup specialist in the loop? πŸ€”

Maybe this role will be short-lived.
Or maybe it is the bridge between human-centered coding and fully AI-driven development.

Either way, it is a fascinating shift in how we think about code, ownership, and trust.

A Vibe Coding Cleanup Specialist could ensure that AI-generated code meets production standards.
βœ”οΈ Secure
βœ”οΈ Maintainable
βœ”οΈ Trustworthy

It is less about cleaning code and more about governing AI output.

At the end of the day, humans are still accountable for what runs in production.

Developers need readable, structured code to debug and maintain systems.
AI is great for prototypes, but not for production.

10.10.2025 20:09 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

5/
Now the other side.
Yes, we do need Cleanup Specialists.

AI-generated code is not deterministic.
It can introduce subtle bugs, security holes, or unpredictable behavior.

4/
Multiple files, modularity, naming conventions.
All those β€œbest practices” could actually harm AI context.

One big, self-contained blob of code might be better for an AI to process.
When changes are needed, you simply tell the AI: β€œFix it and test it.” βœ…

10.10.2025 20:09 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

3/
In that case, readability does not matter.
The code does not have to be human-friendly, it just needs to be machine-friendly.

Maybe the prompt that generated the code is more important than the code itself.

2/
First thought: maybe we do not need them.

Clean, structured code is designed for humans.
We read more code than we write.

But what if AI is the one writing, reading, and maintaining the code? πŸ€–

πŸ’ Do we need β€œVibe Coding Cleanup Specialists”?

I just read a @Forbes article claiming a new tech role is emerging:
πŸ‘‰ The Vibe Coding Cleanup Specialist, someone who fixes and sanitizes AI-generated code.

Let’s look at both sides of the coin. βš–οΈ

I packed as many of such cases into our talk and the recording from this year’s @dddeu.bsky.social just arrived: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf1M...

I explained the specifics of event modelling (yes, no capital letter, and double l), starting with bad practices and knowing why and how to avoid them

Hey @gingerbill.org watching your mini series on YouTube how to ship a painting app in one week. Since I’m not on windows I also found this gist.github.com/gingerBill/e... any chance you will release the source code on GitHub at some point. Would really love to learn more on graphics programming.

I agree especially when it comes to investing, but don’t people who are experiencing fear always think the their fear is caused by some scary πŸ’©? I guess it goes all down to risk and fear tolerance and spot the real πŸ’©.

Say what you want about @googlechrome.bsky.social but I don’t like the discussion about taking chrome away from @developer.chrome.com . Finally a company managed to build a working browser (which also is the base for other browser). They advanced support for modern JavaScript and css big times.
