ArcGIS is expensive to maintain. My maps (some of which are for paid contracts and the rest for public consumption) run me about $1700 a year including having to buy usage credits.

Proposed transit network for Centre Wellington. Route 1A/1B connects Elora with Fergus, stopping at the hospital between the two towns. Routes 2 and 3 provide service within Fergus while routes 4 and 5 are planned for future implementation as the municipality grows.
Really basic service to start - 60 minute frequencies except for the 1A/1B sections which would be every two hours - but it's a start. They avoid one-way loops too, which is good.

The Township of Centre Wellington (Elora and Fergus) is planning a new fixed route transit system.
For now, they're planning for three routes to start within the Elora-Fergus area, augmenting the existing RideWell county on-demand service and the GOST link to Guelph.

Stratford, at least, also has connecting service to Kitchener-Waterloo, St. Marys and London via PC Connect, and has a daily Flixbus service to Toronto and one VIA train a day (used to be two). These all stop at or near the transit terminal too.

There's a bit more sense to Stratford's map, which covers about twice the population with seven routes. But still a lot of one-way loops and really tight coverage.
All routes have 30-minute service, though it goes to on-demand on weekends.

Every hour!
Great coverage of the town, but you don't get anywhere fast. And no coverage of the rest of Kawartha Lakes, including outlying towns like Fenelon Falls, Omemee, or Bobcaygeon.
You'd think that some of the resources to send buses around on long one-way routes to make sure that everyone in Lindsay is less than a 5 minute walk to a bus stop could be used to connect other communities within the City of Kawartha Lakes and to Peterborough and the GO bus near Pontypool.

If anyone can make sense of this transit map, let me know.

So what to do with the existing modern facilities like the MTCC South Building and Enercare?
This doesnβt make a lot of sense.
As for airport access, would it mean restarting construction on the King-Liberty Station?
Thereβs a lot to think about with a new convention centre (never mind that Enercare/Automotive Bldg already offers a lot of space) that I doubt Doug has.
