Game 7 of the 2016 World Series broke the space-time continuum.
Maybe this game 7 is resetting it.

My husbandβs name is Josh Johnson and one time some guy tagged him instead of comedian Josh Johnson. And when my husband tried to correct him, he thought he was doing a bit, lol. Yes, even though his profile picture clearly shows heβs white.
I, on the other hand, will never have this problem.
We just impulsively went to Seattle earlier this year. Realized we would be there for Opening Day, got tix to Mariners, a team weβve never paid attention to. And now weβve stayed up cheering for them through 15 innings.

Lol this was perfect. See the second post in the thread, too.

The films on these three video monitors show examples of the protests against rock and roll, starting with the music's birth in the early Fifties and continuing on through the Beatles, heavy metal and hip-hop.
A photo overview of several panels in the exhibit. There are photos with quotes overlaid. There are also video screens.
A black and white photo of Frank Zappa wearing a suit and tie and talking into a couple of microphones. Text overlays the image. A black and white photograph of the back of two police officers. It's hard to tell what else is going on in the photograph. Text is overlaid on the image. In blue text: "I'm a fairly with-it person, but this stuff is curling my hair. -Tipper Gore, Co-Founder, Parents Music Research Council, 1985" In white text: "Demonstrators protesting against Eminem's lyrics outside the Grammy Awards, 2001." In red text: "Wake up, get a sense of humor, quit trying to censor music. This is for your kids' amusement But don't blame me when little Eric jumps off the terrace. You shoulda been watching him... Apparently, you ain't parents! -Eminem, 2000."
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum has an exhibit on the moral panic over rock and roll and pop music over the decades.
Politicians and other public figures have often tried to use their power to silence voices and maintain oppression. (cont'd)

28.01.2025 23:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0All the parts of a watch movement disassembled and laying on a green mat
Tonight on the vintage Elgin watch project I cleaned all the partsβa very slow process with my small ultrasonic. The parts look great and all the gunk is gone. Next up, installing a new mainspring. #watchmaking
04.12.2024 05:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bought a replacement shock spring (tiny brass piece over the jewel) to replace the one I lost in my practice movement. Well, it didnβt fit but I got a lot of practice working with it. Itβs so tricky because itβs super tiny and very springy. 2nd photo is this to scale with an SD card. #watchmaking

25.11.2024 18:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Started my next project tonight, the vintage Elgin with the linen dial. New challenge this time is calendar works, I took careful photos at each step so hopefully I can get it back together π¬. Looks like someone tried to service this before, itβs covered in oil and grime. #watchmaking
24.11.2024 02:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I did it! My first restored watch is completed! It only took me a month and 3 tries! #watchmaking
22.11.2024 04:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Nat had an idea that our Christmas day activity should be to spend the day building a watch. My watch components arrived already, so now I just have to hide it so I donβt build it!
21.11.2024 16:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Third time completely tearing this down, cleaning it, and reassembling. Before I cased it I had it running nicely at around -5/+10 seconds a day... but then in the case it lost any accuracy. Ahhhh. Going to take a break on this watch and come back after I learn more. #watchmaking
21.11.2024 06:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Finding watches to fix/service on eBay is too easy, Iβve somehow given myself a backlog. But hey the next next project is here, this Breil! The movement is soooo tiny. Like maybe the size of a nickel.

I bought a watch on eBay to restore but they couldnβt remove the case to show the movement. I got lucky, the movement looks really nice.
