First day of testing #GoToSocial went very well. So I just loaded in all my follows from @amd
There are only a few small drawbacks to GtS and theyβre all being worked on. Iβll test a couple more days then hit the move from my old mastodon instance.
Iβm going to give GoToSocial a test as a replacement for this personal instance.
You may see a follow request from @amd@gts.amd.im as I start evaluating it further.
Who is out there on GoToSocial and can recommend the best iOS app?
Is it just @phanpy as a PWA?

A closely cropped shot of a Chrysler minivan showing the front grille, bumper, license plate, and a partial license plate frame with the underlined text "Millenium Falcon". The license plate a California blue plate with the number (E)792098. I only mention this level of detail to give the visually impaired the same chance of stealing my identity based on a cop plate from another state that my dad stole in college sometime in the 80s.
A screenshot of OrcaSlicer with the license plate back banner model loaded and an example text added in the slicer. The part is rendered in one color and the text "The BluesMobile" is rendered in a different color.
My kids named my van the Millennium Falcon, so I felt it would be fun to label her with the name.

Three samples of a 3d printed radius gauge for the back of a set of calipers sitting on a 3d printing bed. One is attached to calipers to indicate how the tool works, another is sitting right side up but not attached to calipers to show the relief to fit the caliper bolts, and a third is flipped over to show the embedded label that has the equation required to use the tool.
A lot of people have done versions of this tool, but none of them were right for my calipers or the magnets I had on hand.
And worse: None of them used an open CAD format that I could edit to correct that.

A screenshot of the freecad user interface showing a model that has two recessed cylindrical pockets. The pocket parameters are open in the window and show that it is has the type: "two dimensions", the first length is 3.5mm, and the second length is -0.5mm. This creates a feature that is 3.5mm deep with the lower 3mm of the cylinder pocketed and the top 0.5mm of the cylinder remaining solid.
If you're coming to @FreeCAD from other CAD packages and are missing pockets that are offset from the sketch plane, here's a trick.
For these magnet pockets I wanted them 3mm deep but offset .5mm from the top surface.
You can do that by doing a two dimension [β¦]
