Hi All. I wrote about my experience of archiving images lost to flooding in the Philippines. I dedicated this photo essay to Uncle Anton M. Naval, whom we lost in the flood of Typhoon Kristine in 2024. He was like a father to me. The essay is open access: doi.org/10.1080/1754... #anthrosky

One of the challenges of studying the hometown is dealing with peer reviewers who get upset by a writing style that is deemed to be "too personal." Oh well. Got past a peer reviewer who caved in in the end.

In this article, I think about the controversial inheritance case Llorente vs Llorente in Nabua which lasted for 15 years and which reached all the way to the Philippine Supreme Court, becoming a landmark case on divorce and succession.
