I’m the guest on Episode 4 of The Tower cinema podcast, discussing The Matrix (1999) as a film that profoundly shifted my worldview, creating a ‘tower moment’ comparable to the tarot understanding of the term.

The cover of the book "Psychoanalyzing Horror Cinema" featuring a pastel drawing of the ballerina from BLACK SWAN (2010), in pirouette, with her "black swan" persona doubling her in darker colors.

This is a BIG one … and yes, that WAS Freudian. @psycstar.bsky.social's "Psychoanalysing Horror Cinema" is here for all your Oedipal sons, castration-fearing fathers, and little girls who feel that very special something missing. New @routledgebooks.bsky.social

Today is the official publication day of my first book, Psychoanalysing Horror Cinema (Routledge). I perceive this volume to be very similar to the Leaning Tower of Pisa: imperfect, different, strangely surreal with little glimmers of magic, & perhaps even memorable. I hope readers connect with it.
