Last year my word was Embrace. I embraced opportunities to present at different conferences and Newcomer connections. Now it's time to cultivate these opportunities to help me to continue growing. #PD4uAndMe

Just like a plant that needs things to grow, I'm going to continue to seek opportunities and connections that I need to help me grow as an educator. I'm going to weed out the negativity and fear, so the positivity will shine brighter. #PD4uAndMe

This morning my ELD 1st graders and Newcomer went on a walk around the school to find different signs. We are learning about signs and symbols. They were great detectives and added the signs we found in their notebooks. #ELsky

Ever since Covid to increase engagement with my ELD groups I've incorporated Game Day. Every 2 weeks on a Friday they can earn game day. The games are learning games, Kahoot, Blooket or any other type of learning game. In order to earn it they must be focused and put forth effort.
