01.07.2025 20:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I plan to start with zoomed out and grayscale photos of less lively plants before slowly gaining color and liveliness in the types of plants.

A delicate spray of orchid flowers against a dark background. The elegant blooms feature cream-white petals with subtle pink-purple tinges on some flowers. Several fully opened blossoms display bright yellow centers, while a few unopened buds remain at the end of the green stem. The contrast between the light-colored flowers and the dark backdrop creates a striking visual effect, highlighting the orchid's graceful form and delicate texture
Seasonal depression kicked my ass this year but it, like all things, came to pass. It did leave me with inspiration for my photo final. I want to portray my cycle of #seasonaldepression through #floral #photography. Here's a sneak peak!

Contrasting that point of dullness is the design and intricacy of the LED strip within the broken bulb, further pushing contemplation upon how we take inspiration from nature.

So, just like a lot of manmade objects, I slapped a nice coat of purple over the harsh white while keeping some of it and boom! It's even further contrasting the moon by having the inside of the light be purple as opposed to the soft, almost welcoming white of the moon.
11.12.2024 06:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's rarity to occur naturally feels as if nature itself uses the color purple to almost accent its already diverse color scheme. This is why the same purple is present within every photo.
11.12.2024 06:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yet.. we see it used stylistically everywhere. I don't know about you but I don't think I could create a color from scratch so.. we probably obtained the idea from nature, right?
11.12.2024 06:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I used the hue slider and found a nice purple to outline the edge of the moon while keeping the rest of the sky pretty dark. It was at this point that I was thinking about color as a part of the theme and I realized: purple is one of the rarest colors in nature!
11.12.2024 06:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Then I got a very nice photo of the moon. I got quite a few but this was the one I ended up happy with. I focused in on the moon with the crop and greatly disliked how much light was actually shining off the edges of the moon (probably blur) but I ended up liking it when I changed the background.
11.12.2024 06:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0After that, I got a photo of an ice cube that I had made from an ice tray. I put it on a very old camera lens (with the cover on!) that isn't worth anything anyway. I did a very similar edit for the naturally occuring ice.
11.12.2024 06:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0First I got a shot of a very small ice drop that was frozen to the end of some plants in front of my friend's house. I cropped it, made it a little clearer, and emphasized the inside of the ice.
11.12.2024 06:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I decided to find two things that occur naturally within nature and two things that are manmade that mimic or take inspiration from the two naturally occuring shots.

16.11.2024 01:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Tried my hand at a stylistic edit of this Photo I took for my Photography class. I think it turned out really well for not knowing my way around Lightroom very well. Before on the left, the edit on the right. Perfect photo for those fleeting fall days where we revel in nature while it's warm.
