Those two hearts are not about romance. In Japan they are inome, the boar’s eye, a very old apotropaic sign cut into weapons, temple fittings and even windows to draw off misfortune and summon courage. two truths:

(1) ANYONE can make comics
(2) if you have a professional background in a form of storytelling that is not comics, it can be helpful to familiarize yourself before signing a book deal

Even when given a screenplay to adapt into a comic- there is still work involved in adapting it. It was popular a few years ago for screenwriters with failed pilots to try to get their work made into comics (so it might get picked up later as tv.) It's not a 1-to-1 & a lot of them didn't understand

Pro tip: you cannot just copy & paste paragraphs for panel descriptions & call it good. It will not go well. A writer should also keep in mind how it could look at print size; there are FAR too many books with 7-9 panels a page and no room for much art because of all the dialogue that's shoved in.

I don't know many people who *wouldn't* wish Ill on JK Rowling.
