This is a go around to the CA (and other states) no online sports betting laws. They call it predictions and skirt the laws. Mostly men are addicted to this stuff but it impacts entire families. It's no bueno no matter how you slice it.

I was cleaning out my mom's garage under her supervision when I came across about 100 Cool Whip containers.

I was outside and I saw a neighbor dragging a plastic patio storage tub along the path towards the front parking lot. He was really struggling with it. He nodded hello. I said "hi" and asked him, "I'm not going to be seeing you on an episode of #Dateline in a few years. Am I?" He flipped me off!!! 🤣

I chuckled. Rarely do I chuckle during a football game. Just sayin. 🤣

That and asking your friends the age old question, "Who died this week?"

Wow, that Dandelion website is impressive. Beautiful chocolates.

Ha! No chocolate smell but she'd drive by the big Oroweat factory on the way home so we'd tell her she smelled like hamburger buns. As for the reject chocolates, one piece each night after dinner.

FYI, when I was a teen my mom worked in payroll at the Sees factory in South City. Every Friday, each employee went home with a 2 pound bag of reject chocolates. Best job ever!

Guittard is mostly a wholesaler. Their claim to fame is a Swiss process which allows the dried chocolate to appear shiny...which is what high end chocolatiers want.

Guittard's history is interesting. They're a big deal in the world of chocolate. Sees is their biggest customer. The It's Its factory is in the same area. Yes, still here. San Mateo.

I didnt know anything about D.O. Mills or his legacy on the Peninsula. He practically own all the land which is now Millbrae. So many things named after him and his family and the developer (Trousdale) to whom he eventually sold his land.

This is one of those times where I love The Google Machine.

I grew up in South City in the 50s and 60s. I remember the cows on the west side of the 101 from San Bruno Avenue to Millbrae Avenue. The east side was always airport. Used to be called Mills Field.
