This mood is just - really strong right now.

I struggled hugely with trigonometry until years after graduation I was trying to figure out how to rotate and tilt a 3d star map for a personal project. I was doodling circles and angles, and suddenly it clicked, and all I could do was sit there and mutter "Soh cah toa. Soh cah toa! SOH CAH TOA!"

As much of a pain as they can be, this is why I love fistful of dice where the degrees of success are palpable. Especially when there are mechanics for rerolling failed dice or trading successes for perks. That and rolling 16 tiny d6 for a critical check is just fun.

I still sometimes wish I'd taken the risk of becoming Al Huffman, the Cockroach King of Norfolk, but he'd have had the lifespan of a soap herring, so probably best that I just left and never came back.

Finally defeated, he stood and straightened his suit and announced, "Fine. I am now the Prince. I hate you all."

Within five minutes of his leaving the room there were no less than six plans to assassinate him and take the crown. Nothing even particularly Machiavellian, just shank him in the alley.

I started to raise my hand just for shits and giggles, but someone sitting nearby broke character to tell me "No, just watch, you don't want this." So I backed off, and he spent several minutes begging, pleading, cajoling someone, anyone to step up and assume the throne with his blessing. No takers.

He continued that as Seneschal this meant he would be the new Prince. "I do not, have never wanted this," he said, "Who wants to be Prince? Anyone? Please?!"

The assembled undead elite of Norfolk muttered and cast dark looks at each other, but no one came forward.

The Seneschal came in to the Elysium and had a loud phone call full of "What?!" and "No, you can't do that!" and ending with "I hate you." Then he announced to those assembled that the Prince of the City had fled and abdicated their throne.

I had a bit of fun roleplaying (my vamp believed be could talk to and control insects, and I'd brough a bunch of rubber roach "spies") but after an hour or so I was done peopleing so I just hid in the corner. Which is how I witnessed possibly the most Vamp LARP moment in the history of Vamp LARPing:

Long long ago I dipped my toe in Vampire larping. I made a standard kooky Malkavian, presented myself to the Court, and spent the rest of the evening in the sanctuary of the Elysium because my friend informed me that as a newbie I'd get eaten the second I stepped outside.

My milkshake brings (3D6 + milkshaker's level) boys to the yard. For each soy milk in inventory, an extra 1D3 soy boys may be brought to the yard. My milkshake can be used when not in a yard, but only a fixed 1D4 boys will be brought, with no milkshaker's level-based adjustment.
