All this to say- it’s something I need to work on. In taking a leave of absence from my job to address autistic burnout and further unmask I’ve found I cannot suppress my RSD. However, my whole life I’d let it build up into shame and become a MDD episode. Recognizing it is the first step to healing🩵

I love hosting people so much, I love converting my small kitchen table into a bigger one for us to work or play a game at. I love making little beverages and showing my dog to them. I like how I curated it and I want to spend time there and when others don’t want to (or even can’t) it’s a huge blow

Today I had an intense wave of it that has completely disrupted my morning around hosting people in my space. Rationally, I know it’s RSD. I don’t blame the person at all, it came from a place of expressing their needs but I’ve just been so self conscious of people not wanting to be in my space.

I’m not always good at recognizing that it is RSD unless it’s obvious or I sit in my feelings. Lately I’ve been feeling it a lot around even the slightest rejection or dismissal of the aspects of my life I’m ashamed/ self conscious of.

Dealing with rejection sensitivity dysphoria (rsd) has been a huge obstacle in my life. I don’t feel it as much as I use to but when I do it hits like a wave of depression sitting heavy in my chest and disrupting my thoughts. #audhd #rsd #actuallyautistic

I’ve thought about journaling my chronic pain a few times in a note book. I communicate my internal world better through writing but I’m afraid of describing it on paper. When I wrote my feelings about my old job they became realer, heavier. I need to pick up the pen for relief of expression

I agree. I like labels they help me visualize things and I’m very visual and written word driven. That being said there are better ways to illustrate effect on areas of life (multi sensory, social etc) autism has and how they can be ever changing without these terms
