Creating illustrations to please myself is hard. I think it's great that people enjoyed my past challenges and I'm grateful for their support. But I always feel like I need to be more interesting, more detailed, and to get likes/views.

It started as one thing, I went too far, then I rolled it back, but got tired before I could remove all the words so I just threw what I had online. Happy #Inktober.

I know the originator of the October ink challenge has been under scrutiny for things like copyrighting the Inktober name and accusations of plagarism, but I'm not really concerned about that.

He doesn't really own Inktober anymore. It belongs to the artists. Many have renamed their challenges.

So... #Inktober starts tomorrow.

I participated for 6 (7?) years and took last year off because I pushed myself too hard and I couldn't handle the self-imposed pressure and expectations. This year I'm not going to try so hard. I set goals, am taking it slow, and hope to have a 'zine when I'm done.

I did this. 5 hour stream (usually less but I was streaming for a GoFundMe) this past Wednesday, which is my usual day for art.

Trump did not mention levying tariffs on generic pharmaceutical imports, which experts have said could worsen drug shortages. Generic drugmakers have much thinner profit margins that would make it much more difficult for them to absorb tariffs...they may opt to stop selling their products in the US.

So is that what we're calling them now that Americans are finally figuring out what a tariff is? I can see it now: "But import taxes are different!"
