Btw: I hate that I cannot use the „—„ anymore without thinking „I should not use this“ (because nowaday it‘s an indivator for #AI 🙄) I used to love using these little — thingis
Usually, I’m a pretty positive person — but today, I remembered this quote from that Indian guy: „Some days are fu*** and cannot be unf****, if your day is fu*** beyound repair, just go home and sleep“ …
Today was definitely one of those days. 😅

Social metrics are wrecking my drive lately. Fellow #gamedevs — how do you tune it out and keep creating?
I live for creating games, but social media is seriously messing with my head.

Our players are most active on Mondays. Apparently, slaying enemies with math is their version of a morning workout.

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle - absolute Kinoempfehlung. Einfach unfassbar geil!
1. Dominion
2. 7 Wonders Duel (favorite for 2 p)
3. Brass Birmingham
But it‘s seriously hard to decide … also depends on mood of course 😅
What are your top 3 picks for board/card games? I’ll go first:
Whatever you’re working on, whatever you’re aiming for: You got this! Just keep going.
#motivation
Real talk for indie devs: if you’re not doing something physical away from screens, you’re setting yourself up to burn out. Hit the gym, go for walks, play a sport - whatever works. Just move. It seriously helps keep you sane.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!
May your #IndieGameDev dreams become reality, and may your motivation never run out.
Stop Doomscrolling and go play something you like. You can also try out my game Elementaris - beat some enemies by using strategy + mental Math and Level Up your Brain Power 💪🏻

„Doomscrolling is the same as Gaming?“
That’s the biggest bullsh*t I‘ve recently read. With doomscrolling, you’re just slowly melting your brain, one swipe at a time.
With gaming you actually can improve skills like crazy.
That moment when someone starts asking you about the deep mechanics of a game… and it’s YOUR game?
Man, that hits on a whole different level. Like - someone actually went full nerd mode on systems I built from scratch.
It’s such a wild and awesome feeling. I’m seriously honored

Just two game devs, who also happen to be a couple, enjoying some ramen ☺️ Wishing lots of happiness to all of you out there!
Being a gamedev:
Feeling something between “Mwahaha I am god of this world” and “I’m a completely useless piece of shit.”

Just some thoughts.
Do you feel this too?
What do you think caused it?
Would love to hear your take.

Real understanding often starts with confusion.
Curiosity takes time.
Depth takes time.
But we’ve built systems that punish slowness.
Maybe it’s algorithms.
Maybe hustle culture.
Maybe we got too used to everything being optimized.
Whatever it is, I think we’re losing something.
There used to be space to stumble.
To explore.
To learn by doing, not by being handed a perfect answer in 10 seconds.
Now, if something isn’t instantly clear or high-production - people leave.
No questions. No curiosity. Just scroll.
I miss when not everything was so professionalized.
When people were okay being confused for a bit.
When you didn’t have to “get it” right away to stick around.
We lost patience. And maybe something more.
Hear me out:
