We’ve really ramped up security over the last few years. I appreciate it, and hate that it’s necessary.

We also bring in someone from CJP, along with another security expert to do a training for all employees at the beginning of every school year.
I’ve worked at my synagogue for ten years now, and we’ve steadily increased security over that time span. A couple of years ago, we hired full time security. The past couple of days, we’ve had local police at the front door. I’m grateful and hate it at the same time.

We had my older kid’s birthday party in a park, and everyone came straight after Saturday school.
Somerville remembers! We drove our kids across town for weeks because their school’s roof broke, then they had Saturday classes.
