the thing with Mamdani is that he’s obviously an incredible political talent - the campaign he’s run has been extremely impressive even if you don’t like his policies

the party should be delighted, and that they’re instead pulling out all the stops to beat him speaks volumes

Rochester Police Department talks tackling homelessness with humanity A small homeless encampment on Seneca Avenue off State Route 104 was recently cleared out by the New York State Department of Transportation.

@13wham.bsky.social ‬⁩ this is propaganda. How could the reporter not mention that the mayor was caught in a lie about not doing these sweeps? And there’s no interview with an advocate who say that these sweeps are bad. And notably no use of word “sweep.”

While I respect his service and dedication to New Yorkers, launching a campaign against a sitting Democratic Governor - while serving in her administration—is not the Democratic unity people are asking for in this critical moment. Governor Hochul is governing. She is delivering real, measurable progress for Rochester, for Upstate, and for all of New York. Her service is grounded in results - not rhetoric. Here are just a few of the recent things she has accomplished: ✅ Rochester received $10 million in Downtown Revitalization funds to invest in housing, infrastructure, and small business development. ✅ She secured $50 million for a new psychiatric ER and inpatient facility at Strong Memorial Hospital - bringing critical mental health services to our region. ✅ Boosting School Aid $138M, including $115M increase in Foundation Aid ✅ Focusing on local roads and bridges, securing 106M for local projects. By contrast, Lt. Governor Delgado is asking voters to fire the very leader he's serving under. That’s not public service - it’s political posturing. If he intends to move forward with this campaign, the responsible and respectful course of action is to resign. New Yorkers deserve clarity and commitment, not conflict, from their leaders. At a time when our country faces real threats to democracy and basic freedoms, New York must lead with unity, stability, and purpose. Governor Hochul has done just that. I’m proud to support her, and I look forward to continuing the work of building stronger, safer, more inclusive communities across our state.

Monroe County Democrats closed ranks after @delgadoforny.bsky.social announced gov run. What bugs me is the notion that primaries are bad and disloyal and hurt efforts to fight Trump. Meanwhile, they have NO trouble primarying Dems who don't obey their orders. It's just about control.

Busy as ever, as you can imagine. I'm genuinely glad to hear you're concerned about poverty in Rochester. We may have different views on how to tackle it and how to pay for solutions, but at least we agree it's a serious issue that needs to be addressed. #progress
