I’m old enough to remember what happened the last time the U.S. ventured into the Middle East without much of a coherent plan for what happens after the bombings stop.

I think it’d be great if the Ayatollah were killed and the Iranian regime removed and the Iranian people made free and civilians across the region made safer than they were before all that takes place.

Bit of a problem here, though, that’s worth considering…

Just to clarify. The story itself is about Trump's federal prosecutors in his first term. My remark there is about 2021-2024, when Garland did nothing with the Epstein material.

It was malpractice that Merrick Garland's DOJ sat on all this potentially explosive info.

When Bush lied us into an illegal war, he expended some effort convincing us that the lies were real. That was enough to delude a huge majority of Americans, still traumatized by 9/11, into supporting the war. Trump didn't bother, and he's going into this without public support. Huge difference.
