To sum it up, in order to stop the tank, teams must stay competitive. By rewarding teams for wins in the 2nd half will push the bottom teams to put their best effort forward. A team Tanking will only hurt their draft position. Thoughts?

The NFL uses the schedule to determine draft position for ties. Whomever had the harder schedule will get a better draft position. The NBA can do that too.

Part 3- NBA Tanking

The teams that are not quitting will get a bigger % as compensation. In my formula we will have 40% left to divy up. The idea is to keep the league competitive throughout the standings and reward the teams that didn't give up...

I think the bottom 3 teams should be penalized, but hear me out. The bottom 10 teams start with 6% odds to win the top 3 draft spots. We then can reward teams based on the quality of opponent victories and/or finishing the season with the best win % after the All Star break...

I want to discuss an idea to remove the #Tank from the #NBA. Right now, with 10 teams in the lottery, there is no incentive to win. Should a team with a horrible record get rewarded with the best odds to get the 1st pick? Hell Naw! Coaching & depth should matter.
