Journalists have to ask questions like that. It's really their whole job. I see a zillion comments like this complaining about journos' questions and thought I'd reply with the obvious this time. They don't ask because they believe that. They ask so that the questionee can air their views.

I agree generally but just want to point out that Franken wasn't great, for all that he was a victim of toxic politics. He did grope several women. It's behavior on the same spectrum as the full-on pedos. All disrespect of women sucks. Franken should've done better.
