Russia went after Ukraine in 2014 b/c our oil companies were about to bring fracking to Ukraine shale. Ukraine had pipes in place to quickly bring it to the EU.
So now Russia will let US oil produce for them? Yeah right.
The science literacy of your audience here is probably a little bit higher. You can lean into saying those nerdy things you really want to say.
