Oh, well... I guess it's just not meant to happen. I worked really hard on this one too.

It’s more work to do it incorrectly than just modeling it the way it’s supposed to be.

It’s more a “heterogeneous mixture of deliciousness” than a simple “liquid”. Doubt TSA could properly qualify it. So they would probably just confiscate it.

None. It couldn’t find the path so it just defaulted to my local files location.

I asked our IT wizard to do some digging and he found a copy of the file as an attachment to an email that was BURIED in some past BIM managers treasure trove. Always be nice to IT.

Got a real mystery on my hands. Trying to find a Keynote file but the absolute path is no longer available in Revit... any hints? It's a very old file, so searching for it on our new servers hasn't worked. Trying to drum up info on where it was in our old server system.

We almost exclusively live link. We find that the entire controlled worksharing workflow doesn’t suit our needs. I know how it works in the cases we do need it. But we are multi-discipline so the live link supports our collaboration style.

Ok. So I’ve establish I’m not completely losing my mind as it is happening to other people. No closer to a means of preventing it from happening but it is easy enough to fix when it does happen.

I don't assume I know anything, anymore. A user is reporting electrical engineers keep borrowing elements in the Arch model. The engineers swear they're not opening the arch model. Apparently, borrowing objects in the Elec model is impacting elements in Arch model.... don't make sense.

Revit 101?

#Autodesk is getting into the AI applications on #AutodeskConstructionCloud with their Autodesk Assistant tool (currently beta). It's in the specifications module (available in Docs and Build). Allowing you to ask questions related to your specs. I have just started testing it.

It is. When I logged in it forced me to fill in the type of company and company name and my professional role. Kinda weird.
