The bonkers part of this game is that you spend most of it fighting the Nexus — a very obvious Nazi stand-in — but then at very end, Hitler is namedropped like he’s Thanos at the end of Avengers.

I see discussions about the politics in Esoteric Ebb now include people arguing that the best outcome in the game is the MC ruling as a wise philosopher-king, as to avoid dealing with the flawed parties.

Besides all the regular reasons this sucks — imagine what would happen if this became a mainstay feature. It would be the complete and absolute death of a lot of good game design.
Why spend dev time on good tutorials or level design if the player's headset is going to hold their hand anyways?
