As an afab of a certain age, this is the article on perimenopause I needed to read, so I'm sharing it as a gift article. It goes into the symptoms people miss, what medicine currently understands (and doesn't), available treatments and reality of the risks involved.

Some positive news. Word from friends on-the-ground in my Philadelphia hometown. Members of the LGBTQ+ community have taken to glitter-bombing those plain-close, masked #ICE agents they encounter—so people can ID them later (as glitter is impossible to even wash off).

Personally I am unfamiliar with any legitimate activity that requires switching license plates, which by the way is illegal.

There's a scam going around where people message you with an apology saying they've reported you by accident and try to get you to click on links to resolve it. Even if an account looks real and you've even talked to them before, always be cautious with links.

In spite of its owner, I must say the LA Times is meeting the moment with wall-to-wall coverage of ICE kidnappings and so many stories about how immigrants are the backbone of everything great about LA. Its staff has a much clearer view of the city than the New York Times does of NYC.
