As much as people want to simplify this tragedy by finding one mistake made by Biden or Trump, you can’t. This suspect was vetted multiple times since his service in Afghanistan, this is not a Biden or Trump immigration issue. The question is what drove this man to gun violence?

Election takeaway: Dems have an opening on immigration. The border’s calm, but Trump’s vulnerable on overreach in cities. Dems need a plan to keep the border calm, rein in ICE & CBP, & protect the undocumented. These are the positions voters actually support.
