I bought the new Scott Pilgrim game! I'll clear a bit of the beginning before stream tomorrow.
I also wanna try playing this game with friends. Especially since the devs did a good job with Shredder's Revenge and Marvel Cosmic Invasion multiplayer.

Gaston Maspero, the well known French Egyptologist, has recently written an interesting article on the "speaking statues" of ancient Egypt. He says that the statues of some of the gods were made ol jointed parts and were supposed to communicate with the faithful by speech, signs and other movements. They were made of wood, painted or gilded. Their hands could be raised and lowered and their heads moved, but it is not known whether their feet could be put in motion. When one of the faithful asked for advice their god answered either by signs or words. Occasionally long speeches were made, and at other times the answer was simply an inclination of the head. Every temple had priests, whose special duty it was to assist the statues to make these communications. The priests did not make any mystery of their part in the proceedings. It was believed that the priests were intermediary between the gods and mortals, and the priests themselves had a very exalted idea of their calling. They firmly believed that the souls of divinities inhabited the statues and they always approached them with religious fear and rever- ence

Just found *one* little bandaid over this weird NG+ design. If you're the type of player to keep multiple save files, your NG+ perks apply to files of your first run. Thank goodness I kept multiple files w/ Leon

That's precisely why I bought an external SSD recently. I needed the extra space to save my art files, among other things!
Planning on repurposing an old desktop for storage too.
Don't get me wrong, RE9 is still a good game. I still see replay value here for speedrunning thanks to the level designs. But the NG+ structure and rewards feel like a step backwards from previous REs.

Speaking of speedrun, the main menu does not show playthrough results. Weird ommission, but the only way was able to review my speedrun record is by checking RE(dot)net.
There's no letter rank either. So there's no S rank to chase after either. Honestly a step down from how RE4R handles things.
Basically any new game file after your first run will always be your second run. And whatever weapons you find/unlock for Leon needs to repurchased every run too.
Since killing enemies always rewards credits, you're incentivized to take out every foe unless you're speedrunning Leon's sections.

Keep scrolling if you'd rather see for yourself. This thread is for the more hardcore RE fans who replay the games.
I'll wait out at least couple of weeks before I stream Resident Evil Requiem. I want to unlock more bonuses before showcasing my skills.
In the mean time, I am still obsessed over replaying Mercenaries.

I already bought and played Assault Spy, thats why I used to be a fan of Wazen. I was one of the loudest supporters (I thought this was obvious)

And if yall REALLY wanna use place holders, you can just doodle something for 10 seconds or use pictures of cats or old art you got lying around.

Hey game devs (especially indies), do not use genAI. It's not worth it, even for placeholders and concept work.
It ruins the players trust in the creative process and we already beaten the dead horse on how harmful it is to use.
I was excited for MightReya but not anymore.
I beat Resident Evil Requiem. I am no longer afraid of spoilers lol
