Polymarket, Kalshi and all the rest of these prediction markets need to be wiped off the face of the earth. They provide absolutely nothing of value and are corrupting everything they touch.

The US war with Iran is costing the equivalent of adding 0.3-1.0 gigawatts of solar power to the economy *every day*.

Let this thought gnaw at your patience.

(1) The accused declared, ordered, or otherwise indicated that there shall be no survivors
or surrender accepted;
(2) The accused thereby intended to threaten an adversary or to conduct hostilities such
that there would be no survivors or surrender accepted;
(3) It was foreseeable that circumstances would be such that a practicable and reasonable
ability to accept surrender would exist;
(4) The accused was in a position of effective command or control over the subordinate
forces to which the declaration or order was directed; and
(5) The conduct took place in the context of and was associated with hostilities.

✋ Former USG war crimes lawyer here.

Apropos of SecDef's remarks this morning:

Denial of quarter—even the declaration of no quarter—is a war crime.

And recognized as such by the US Government.

From DoD's Manual for Military Commissions.

Why Bitcoin falls short as a safe haven in geopolitical turmoil Gil Luria, head of technology research at D.A. Davidson, explains what’s keeping investors from parking their assets in crypto as the Iran War continues.

Just like gold, there’s only a fixed amount of Bitcoin. Gold surged in value when the U.S. first attacked Iran, but Bitcoin didn’t. Why?

cycle:
1) students get mad at me for not having enough to do
2) assign enough work for 96 students
3) don't have enough time to grade for 96 students
4) students get mad at me for not grading fast enough
5) lather, rinse, repeat

CapitalOne: "we will give you $50 if you figure out how to use this app we built that will constantly send you messages about how you can save money by buying something online, but that will not actually tell you HOW to buy it & save said money. seriously. we can't figure out how our own app works."

The number of comments from REAL PEOPLE calling this a "false flag" and being like, "what about Gaza," and I'm like, yes, war crimes are bad and should be prosecuted.

but now you're deflecting from (and defending) a guy who tried to blow up a synagogue full of children.

🔮 No strait, no problem – Solar supercycle and the end of chokepoint geopolitics While politics is powerful, the laws of physics will always win

Solar does not care about the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil flows through chokepoints. Solar follows a learning curve.

Sorry but is this person quite serious? Gets famous from challenging the idiocy of this regime after being asked to defend it, and then is like, "I know what I'll do! Run to unseat a popular congresswoman!"

Good luck, Jules?

The killing of schoolchildren should shock our conscience and cause us to recoil in horror.

A nation whose leaders can so easily shrug off the death of children, no matter the cause, is in need of moral repair.

There must be accountability and lessons learned from this tragedy. And we must never forget that Iranian children, too, are children of God.
