Target hasn’t done anything that would lead to an end of the boycott. Seems like they’re trying to work the local refs at the Strib. I’m sure this will go over well with everyone they alienated by abandoning the community at the slightest sign of profit/favor with an authoritarian!
Re the supposed end of the Target boycott, here's what I got in my e-mail at 11:05 a.m.:
(Please just end)
I don’t know how to explain this but there have been 40 pages left in the book I’m reading for the last 50 pages.
Another tough day for team “there’s no point in complaining about AI, just accept it.”
"This place broke something in us."
In letters and drawings, a mother and her five children held in the Dilley ICE detention center detail what they describe as neglectful medical care, inedible food and a disregard for their religious accommodations.
Stop me if you've heard this one before. Trump admin did a massive unconstitutional surge of secret police, claimed it was about fraud, and wrecked the local US Attorney's Office in the process. And now they're really struggling to prosecute actual fraud.

this is also my ongoing frustration. you can not run for office on "democracy is under threat" and then lose and go "oh well, nice game everyone"
they put us in a constant state of hypervigilance & terror begging for our last $5 to save the country and then they do the joint softball game.
Helluva way to run a war, as the NYT reports. But the article doesn’t go far enough. WHY are his aides terrified of telling Trump the truth? Because the commander-in-chief is not OK in the head, that’s why. These reporters should say it instead of covering it up. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/10/u...
Have also heard this from youths in my home
I too would rather ignore politicians but alas they have too much power over how I live.
Bam Adebayo?
I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public.
I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are.
1/ Here's what I can share:
Platforms like YouTube, TikTok and Instagram used to be called "social media" but that has been a misnomer for just as long. They're media giants that prefer to be called something else so they neither have to pay nor take responsibility for the content they provide. It's a far more lucrative model.
Chris Murphy: "I Just came from a two hour, closed door classified briefing on the war. It just confirmed to me it's totally incoherent. We are not gonna be able to achieve any of our stated objectives ... this is a disaster of epic proportions, a 10 day debacle"
I’ve lived in Minnesota long enough to have known this was coming, but I confess it’s still a soul crusher
This is a powerful letter from Minneapolis Legislative Delegation asking Mayor Frey to sign Pause Evictions, Save Lives.
16/17 state legislators who represent Minneapolis signed onto this letter. It’s time for Mayor Frey to sign this ordinance and support our immigrant neighbors.
Thick smoke was seen rising from the direction of the Bapco oil refinery in Bahrain on March 9
There is apparently credible evidence that the president of the United States is a pedophile. The comforting phrase “accused him without evidence” no longer fits this situation, and journalists must resort to the more perfunctory “hasn’t been formally charged.” www.thedailybeast.com/key-details-...
Are you fucking kidding me? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? This got covered up for SEVEN YEARS?
Global calamity
CNN’s Frederik Pleitgen says black, oil-contaminated rain is falling over Tehran after strikes on oil facilities by U.S./Israeli airstrikes.
Just watched Bugonia please bear with me
I don’t love that the most unhinged versions of the Epstein theories get more plausible the more information we get instead of less
North Tehran’s Aqdasiyeh oil depot is ablaze tonight after it was targeted by multiple US-Israeli airstrikes. Apocalyptic scenes filmed by Iranians driving on the nearby highway. Local reporters saying firefighters can’t put it out. This depot is critical energy infrastructure for Iran.
One of those clips where you really have to watch the whole thing, because reading the most egregious quote in the rant doesn’t fully capture how 1) racist, and 2) cognitively impaired the president is.
Damn.
Since we're dumping on Timothee today, I watched Marty Supreme yesterday. It's neurotic and propulsive (complimentary) and Chalamet is physically throwing himself into it. But I could not get past the fact that he was the only actor not doing an appropriate accent. It was weird!
A man who was held at an ICE detention facility in Texas before being deported to the Netherlands told the AP that he heard a guard talking about a staff betting pool on which detainee would be next to commit suicide
I continue to believe that a whole lot of these misperceptions would be alleviated if they made the models reply in the third person, rather than the first. Not, “I found this information for you,” but instead, “the query generated the following results.”
